Educational Presentation Now Available

 

Over the past few months, we have been working to put together a presentation that is now in the final stages of completion.  The presentation will discuss the special problems of children in cults. It will define and describe the different types of cults, how they are structured and operate, and why children in such groups may be at risk of abuse, neglect, or educational deficits. It will also discuss the long-term consequences for persons born or raised in these closed groups. This presentation will be useful to those working with children and youth and will stimulate discussion on how best to protect children in cults as well as how to help those who have left the groups in which they were raised.  For more information, please email RISE International director Alexandra Stein.
